EducateAKid Cricket Tournament 2017 was held at the Pantera Park, Diamond Bar, CA on March 4th and 5th, 2017.
12 teams participated for the prestigious trophy and Socal Knights lifted the trophy by winning the nail biting final against Fullerton Titans. Fullerton Titans were also the runner ups for EAK Cricket 2016. LA Avengers and CSK earned 3rd and 4th places respectively after their heartbreaking semifinal losses; both semifinals were decided in the last ball/last over.

Even though the winners receive no cash awards, the following scholarship amounts will be named after the 1st 4 teams. Scholarships worth $1000 will be named after the winner (SoCal Knights), $750 for the runner up n(Fullerton Titans), $500 for the 3rd place (LA Avengers) and $250 for the 4th place (CSK).
Ajeesh of SoCal Knights was selected as the best batsman; Murugan of CSK received special mention for his second place finish.
Toms of Fullerton Titans was selected as the best bowler; Pradeep of CSK received special mention for his second place finish.

In addition, the trophies were sponsored by KP Hari, Ravi Vellitheri, Rema Nair, Jiju Purshothaman and Sunitha.
EAK organizing committee consisted of Ram Prasad, Ramesh Menon, Subhash Pillai, Sujeeth Aravind, Suresh NP, Jay Nair, Suresh Enchoor, Sabari, Sanjaye Elayattu, Vimal Ghosh and Dipu vr.
The rulebook was built by Sujeeth Aravind and managed by Ram Prasad for the EAK Cricket tournament. Ram prasad and Ramesh Menon lead a team of umpires consisting of Subhash Pillai, Suresh NP, Vimal Ghosh, Rajiv K.S., Arun Subramaniyam, Sanjaye Elayttu, Himanshu Garg, Suresh Enchoor, Dipu V.R.
Some team members from CSK and Glorious Arcadians also assisted in umpiring.
Chinna Ponnaganti and Sreekumar helped with the administration/formalities for every match and managed the front desk. They were ably supported by the junior team members Ashwin Sanjaye and Anjali Ghosh. The junior team (kids) of volunteers Anjali Ghosh, Devika Ghosh, Meghana Nair,Meghana Sujeeth , Nandana Sujeeth, Ashwin Sanjaye, Ashna Sanjaye and Ponnus provided significant help and cooperation on both days while having a good time at the grounds!
OHM volunteers Divya Dipu, Tina Vimal, Rema Nair, Sachita Sabari, Smitha Sanjaye, Sunitha Jayan were instrumental to the success of the tournament. Ajish Nambiar led the pitch /crease preparation activities, supported by the organizing team members and Baba pranab. This help was instrumental in starting and completing the match in time despite the weather induced delays.
Food arrangements were managed by Ravi Vellitheri, Jay Nair. Snacks and tea were managed by Smitha Sanjaye, Rema Nair, Sachitha Sabari, Divya Dipu, Tina Vimal.
Himanshu Garg provided the back up support for cricket equipment and additional balls; He was also helpful with umpiring. Irvine Royals team members Raghu and Kiran helped out with the ground and pitch preparation on Friday evening, along with the organizing team members. Jay Nair and Suneetha Jayan volunteered for the photography.
All the participating team captains were very cooperative in upholding the spirit of the game. Because of their support to the umpires and organization, all the matches were conducted smoothly and all on field disputes were resolved immediately.
